matches after matches...

Saturday Morning was good...we had Ih road relay... we all ran well... both guys did their part for the team... my roomie, Serene also ran her very best she could on that day, enduring a painful pair of sore and swollen eyes lol... our hall runners really put in a lot of effort... think we only lack of luck... there were 2 teams... A and B team... B team came in first overall and A team came in about 7 or 8th position... but nevertheless, this is the relay i enjoyed most in my NTU life... so much warmth... so much enjoyment... so much unity... even though we lost, we felt that we won, because we trained a lot more than the other halls... we tried every kind of routes in the school for training, we had numerous people wanting to get into the team, we had people who are reserves but still came down for ever training... we wanted the champion so much, but yet after losing it, we still felt proud... because deep inside, we knew that we had won... not the gold medal... but the won by the fact that every single one of us played a part in the competition, and that we have all bonded together a lot more through all the hard work put in... everyone of us was sad, but happy at the same....Before the race pictures...

this was a picture requested by me... the first five on the left were from the A team and the first five from the right were from the B team and the 3 in the middle were reserves... photos delight!

And after that I rushed back to hall to meet the Waterpolo hunks for discussion about strategies for the upcoming polo finals all of us have been waiting for! haha it was due to start at 1 pm... and we all had some sandwiches made by darling Coach - Jackie... he bought the ingredients... and then cooked it lol... was superb! he made us egg cum ham cum cheese sandwiches... he had the eggs boiled the night before and had Xueyuan to peel the shells for him... AIYOH XY IS REALLY BAD IN HOME ECONS! DUN EVEN KNOW HOW TO PEEL THE SHELL! and then I smashed the eggs, then Jackie added Mayo, Margarine, Thousand Island and Pepper to it... and it turned out to be a sumptous breakfast!

after discussion, we head down to the pool almost immediately... as usual, we squuzed into 2 cars... it was madness... I think we all really squeeze super a lot of people this time...

During the match.... ( I dare not take photos of them before the match because ALL of them are super PANTANG! ... cannot take pictures before match or else will lose...)

and gues what... we were all shocked by the number of Hall 3 supporters! woohoo... Jackie said " this is the first time i am seeing so many supporters down..." its very true... we were all so glad hall 3 fellows came down... they give face to Zhenming, out sports sec too... he was playing waterpolo for the first time... the first time he play... and is in the finals and he is playing as goalkeeper... super stressed....

BUT HALL 3 WON! WOO HOO! SUPERB PLAYING... THE SCORE WAS SO TIGHT... ONE MOMENT WE WERE CHEERING... THE OTHER MOMENT WE WERE PRAYING HARD THAT THE OPPONENT DO NOT SCORE... IT WAS REALLY SUPERLY NICE AND GOOD GAME...

BUT STILL... HALL 3 WON....! THE FEELING IS GREAT WHEN YOU WIN AND THE GLORY BELONGS TO U RIGHTFULLY!

and after the match... i was super touched by the team...i was with the guys.... and then when Jackie said congrats and good work and thanked everyone for leaving him a great memory for his last match in waterpolo in NTU... I nearly cried... all the hard work had paid off... really... from knowing each one from scratch, to working as a team to winning together... they had did really well... and then Jackie said we will have a celebration dinner... because someone is leaving hall.. i was stunned at that moment... dunno who is it... then it suddenly dawned on me that he was referring to me... wah I was really shocked...I was really happy and glad... and when they were taking photos.. Benedict said "eh Sumiko also part of our team... ..must have her face"... wah... i think the memories will continue to stay in my head for life... its a tremendous feeling that I felt... felt as part of the waterpolo team.... thanks for everythng given to me.... I really love the team...

aFTER THAT MET DEAR...darling and me went to Chinatown again! for dinner and sweet shopping! haha... and here we are... eating at Chinatown on Saturday night...at a coffee shop in the mids of the night market... the food here is like homecooked food la... cheap and nice... but a little salty..
