Met god pa at jurong point for a short drink session and headed st off to CCAB... did a round at graveyard with coach and fabian... Coach was complaining that I was going too fast for an easy run... oppss! perhaps the shoes I wore today made me fly~ its the first time I am wearing NIKE free shoe for training... (the recommended distance for each run with the shoe is maximum 5 km)
oh, on the way to CCAB, i received a phone call from NIKE personal asking me to attend a talk at 7 pm at changi! Hence, i rushed down to changi right after training... and the worst thing was... I went to the SIA training centre instead of the SIA sports club...I was wondering why was the talk at the training centre... and true enough, i was not allowed the pass to enter the training centre! Luckily Sasha called and informed me that I was just opposite of the correct location... blurr queen... opps!
went into the room with several runners and running professionals... listened hard to the talk...Sasha was introducing several shoes... bowerman series... its rather a GOOD series of training shoes! the amendments made from the old to the New shoe had shown and proven great response and comfort....I recommend the Bowerman series!
however, the focus of the talk was on NIKE Plus---sportsband...its a new watch or rather a sports band which comprises of lots of stuff...
there is a website on the NIKE + sports band...www.nikeplus.com....
this sports band acts like a USB cable device with a chip... the chip goes into the soles of several NIKE shoes... somehow like a device that track motion...
when you go on the website, it allows you to register for an account for free!after registering, you can view the people who are on NIKE + webbie... You can view several things like the programmes devised by famous coaches of the world,races and challenges around, there is even a forum!
The sports band is something that we can wear to training, it tracks the distance we run, the pace we run at and the time taken.... when you plug the usb cable into your computer, it will reflect your training results into the computer... you can also view your training - where you ran fast, slowed down or even walk! you will be able to know your speed of running, the location you are at each point and many many more! I will upload to here... I am trying to save a few images of the website.. cant seem to do so.. will try again tomorrow and see how it goes!
I received a pair of NIKE FREE shoes from Vicky 2 weeks ago... and now, I received a similar pair at the talk... I think its really a good pair of shoes and definitely want to use it for my shorter runs, or even for warm up and cool down. I won't want to risk the chance of damaging it by bringing it for my long runs or races!thanks Vicky, Patricia and Sasha for the shoes!
Met JD at parkway parade after the talk, missed him quite a lot.. have been very packed up with work and coaching and training... seen him only for 2 hours last week... and today too.. only see him for another 2 hours.. time is so short!
he sent me home with sweetness and my sister helped me with the phototaking...

i am really happy with the stuff!and i am ready to run!....
