THE PAST PICTURES... when i was FAT!

now back in hall... coughing quite badly... sad... dunno why... maybe the annual sickness I always have is coming back already!

I got nothing to do .. taking a rest while doing my social context of learning essay... so blog for a while..
this is me last year running my singapore marathon... damn eer xin!...

lets put up some photos taken during my diving trip about 3 months ago... I looked so Ah ma and fat! lucky I dun look like that now... enjoy laughing at the photos below.. FOR THOSE WHO DUN BELIEVE I WAS ONCE FAT... I SHOW U ALL! TRIXy.. DUN PUKE AH!

Now presenting photos of me damn fat running a marathon in February!....IN KL... If i ran in Singapore, I wun dare to wear until like that... show all the fats... FAT RIGHT!

OK now... a few pictures taken with my former Hostel members... Hall 7....taken in January... haha i look so black and chao da... Ugly hair me!

Then I started training with coach... this was how I looked like when I first started my training regime this year...mostly pictures of Me and DiDi... a runner from my running club

time trial and gathering

just came back hall...

today had time trial at Macritchie... din expect myself to perform well... it is my annual 5km Elite time trial for my club... yeah we have to qualify for Elite to be able to gain sponsorship from NIKE for the next year...

I reached there at 430pm... went for warm up with coach then listened to some strategies... well i did tell coach that my left heel is hurting... but its ok.. I will still try my very best.. this would be the first time I will be running the whole 5 km... instead of the usual 4.8 km... and earlier I was running 23 min for 4.8 km... the qualifying for elite is 22min for 5km... HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IT!!! never mind ... try and believe I can...

did some light stretching and prepared mentally to run... finally it started off... started off slow... while running, my back started to hurt when I breathe... I thought that was it... really pain... because i told myself I can't last through... every breathe I take... it hurts right from the front to the back... but then I persevered... till the turning point... I looked at my watch... was already 11min plus... wah I just sped my way back! ... ran faster... nearly tripped over a few rocks and sprained my ankle... but I just dun care... keep running... When I was approaching the finishing, about 30-40m away from the finish, Uncle Vincent shouted at me and said " quick! can still make it... !" I ran straight to the finish! sped like nobody's business... and i crossed the line exactly on the dot of 22:00min... wah really FWAH... PHEW! haha... I thought I could only qualify for the 10km time trial for elite.. now can out my heart at ease... lucky for me...

after that went to bathe at the water point.. saw Marche boss... Hanes... haah spoke to him a bit on triathlon... get me back interested in racing for triathlon for a while.. somehow i still miss racing for tri... yup...

Then I met up with KAP gang at Heeren and went to eat at Vilaje... ahaha... well... Kenjie, Henree, Desmond, Benjamin, Siong and Cynthia went.. as usual its the usual us... i ate a sausage for dinner... or rather just a sausage for dinner... and half a crepe... like no mood to eat... seems like a lot... but I bought the crepe but ate very little... never mind... haha... the staff at the restaurant said i lost weight ( I used to work at Marche-the old name of Vilaje)... Hen Ree also surprised when he saw me.. he ask why I lost so much weight... STRESSED bah.. no la... running works wonders... maybe these 2 days lost another 1 kg again... yeah... still can lose more in these few days... totally no mood to eat... just keep drinking plain water...

after that we went to Starbucks to continue chatting... chat halfway I felt a little sleepy already... quite tired though... yup... took a picture with cynthia my dear!

anyway I moved to this blog for the benefit of my friends.. I had figured out that If i continue to blog on friendster... everytime i update my blog.. my friends will recieve a mail informing them... then quite irritating for them at times bah... yeah...

blogging about Jon's birthday a week ago... haah...
i can still remember 11 years ago...JONaTHAN-BROtHER!!!

11 years ago... during my track and field days... this guy walked into my life... he was a nerdy guy... I was a skinny little girl doing Long Distance running... those days running 800m for a pri 6 child is already considered long distance... the guy continued to stand by me for the next 11 years.. helping me along with whatever that I am doing.. supporting me in every way that he could...

I always visited his Pole Vaulting competitions.. video tape him during his jumps... every competitions I see him winning... even that time when he fell from up in the air... I stilll think he won! because to me nothing matters most than seeing him perform ! because of the support he gave to me...I really appreciate him for everything he has given to me... he is the one who will give the most tightest hug to me when we meet... He is the one who will smile at me saying I look pretty whenever he meets me... he is the one who will come all the way to my 21st bdae party even though he was already late ... midnight...he is the one who will call me from U.S. to chat with me... suddenly 11 years have gone by... and I realised we haven changed a bit... to him I am always that little girl... to me he is always that brother whom I had love, love and will be loving all the way... because to me, nothing matters more than our strong bond... really...

he is JONATHAN LAU... my 11 years god bro ... (my family knows him too!) people who know us know how close we are... i was training running on monday when i suddenly received a call from him telling me that he is having his bdae celebration at upper Thomson ... it was already 830pm... he cant call me because his phone was low battery... I rushed back to hall to change and went down.. took a cab down... even if its for a moment.. even its for him... we spent only less than an hour there... but i guess it is worth it... time flies but our bond remains... thanks bro.... really ... miko loves jon bro!

NIE BIATHLON

oh yeah...I just finished my NIE biathlon... yup!...

today went there to set up my triathlon booth... morning was cool and windy.. haha nice weather. yup. then after setting up the booth, i met Jickson, JP and their friend... helped them to regiater for their race then I just went to walk around....

Wah... NUS biathlon team came down.. was nice seeing them. i felt like part of them actually. Like one whole big family... maybe because I used to train with Sunny at TAS national triathlon squad... quite close to him... so happy seeing all friends again... then saw Lincoln, Paul, Adeline, Jon, Linjing-my pri sch mate... and others.. haha still remembered when my brother Jiexiao was the ex-NUS biathlon team captain.. thats why all of them know about me... yup big family! how i ever wish NTU biathlon was as big and as close!

started off my first race.. women's open category... yeah individual... did an ok swim... 7:43 min for 500m... then rushed off to run my 5 km... felt that my run was ok only... transition was slow.. took about 1 min.. then ran till finish... after that I paired with Eileen for women's doubles... i swam... faster than my individual swim time.. ahah swam 7:37 min... was like racing in water with this girl... she was leading me all the way till the 8 lap... then i took over the lead... she is a pure swimmer whereas I am just but a moderate swimmer.. was stressed... finally won the swim.. BUT THEN WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE WATER... I RAN THE WRONG DIRECTION TOWARDS THE EXIT! ARGH!... THEN SHE TOOK OVER ME... BUT LUCKY WAS NOT VERY FAR WHEN WE PASSED OVER TO OUR RUNNERS, about 5 m... i so blurr!...i had the full confidence in Eileen so definitely she will come back first... ahaah so I just took my time to warm down and prepare for the next race.. MIxed doubles...

when came to the Mixed doubles.. my arms feeling a little sore already... swam a 7:50min... oh my gosh... I let Zhiyong down.. because the first girl came out about 35-40 secs in front of me.. wah feel so bad... zhiyong cannot even catch Mok... because the gap was too big... SO SORRY! felt so bad after that! ah!!!!!! should have swam faster!!!!
my partner in action for mixed doubles.. one of the fastest runner in Singapore! woohoo!

anyway I just very happy with today's results... maybe very long never swim... but still did ok overall... at least got champion for both individual and women's doubles... second for mixed doubles.. yeah i guess its quite an achievement already...for someone who haven been swimming much...


anyway today me damn lucky.. got medals plus got 2 lucky draw prizes! haha... madness... but today damn lucky la... anyway KUDOs to the organising committee for NIE biathlon!... yeah man...Peh and Vanessa u rocks... manage to organise such an event even though only 6 days were given to U all...

Congrats to all the winners ... Mok,Kannan, Leonard, Zhi yong, Adeline, Ziyun, Eileen, and everybody else... and even to those who finished the race..! haah u did it!

OH YA AND MY SISTER JUNKO TAN SOK TIN... SHE

WOO HOO... FINALLY GOTTEN THESE PHOTOS FROM YUKO... TOOK DURING OUR FAMILY OUTING AT VILAJE... YUP IT WAS LAST WEEK I SUPPOSED... i went out with mummy, bro, yuko, junko, auntie, cousins like Yingshi, Iwin, Hongsiang, Hongsing and Yue yin and alongside with Dulcia-bro's gf of course! haah... i guess we had a great time eating there.. I had 100 bucks voucher won at MR 25 dinner and dance and so I asked them for dinner haha... yeah we had a great time catching up lol! yeah and i think they enjoyed the food... reminded me of the times i used to work at Marche as a cook!
