a new hair cut when i am feeling super low...

when someone is feeling low.. she does stupid things... for me... I did a stupid thing too... I went to perm my hair... went to the salon which me and dear always go to... there they did a perm for me... lets see what happens... i met Junko at Far East Plaza to perm hair but all the salons were closed! my gosh... this is not good! so we headed to Clementi to the fav shop and have it permed... anyway my permed hair is sponsored by my second sister who has just won first prize in 4-D haha... she super nice to sponsor me to do foolish stuff because she knows how to please me when I am sad...

. and then we reached clementi and I was so worried what will happen to my hair...then junko took some pictures of me while i was in the mids of perming my hair...

and after that ... it was done quite fast... finished at 7 :30 pm... ahah this is the result of Junko's hair cut and my permed hair...

and then we met Yuko and her friends and headed to Tiong Bahru to meet My cousins and Auntie and My mummy for dinner... haah lets see my mum!

and then here comes my super naughty sister who is my closest baby... in the train...

and then we reached Tiong Bahru and as I was having my dinner.. I took a photo with my dear cousin... same age as me.. younger than me by 7 days only..

and then after dinner it was going back hall time... and after i reached hall i tried to style my hair differently... lets see what happens...

and then I looked ... ok la not too bad la right Trixy... at least after I pinned them up... looks better... haha....

the photos are taken with my new phone... dear bought me Sony Ericsson W850i for my christmas.. i dunno how to express my thanks to him.. just really happy that this present means a lot to me.. and he means every single thing in my life... sometimes I have such a hot temper and bad attitude that I feel I am such an undeserving girlfriend.. but then I am trying to change... change for the better... No one is perfect and i believe I will try to be as perfect as I can... but then flaws can be seen as learning lessons too...

waterpolo win!

woo hoo! our hall guys won waterpolo for their last match! Last Saturday... they played with our team having 3 men down...but they put up a splendid match... the only disappointing thing was that our hall had little support... I was like the only cheerleader there... wished I could have gone down to play with them.. fight as a team... but then out of 16 halls... only 4 halls will be willing to vote for me to play.. all the other halls sports secretaries are not willing to support my hall's decision.. but then it is still comforting enough to know that there are some halls willing to support the idea of having a girl to play waterpolo! this is ridiculous! ... however, it is still very fun to play and train waterpolo with them... and I will always be part of hall 3 waterpolo team... maye one day I might go and join the national women's team in playing waterpolo... when I have the time to commit!...

I encountered something stupid on Friday afternoon... I was having my usual training and suntanning at SRC when I saw 2 familiar figures walking into the Swimming Pool...I was suntanning at the benches... then I saw one of them showering under the shower... the other hiding behind the shower... haha that time i felt it was funny because the guy hiding behind the shower was like trying to avoid being seen...I find it ridiculous and a little foolish... after that I went to swim at the other side of the pool... at lane 8... I have never ever swim there but knowing that he did not want to see me... I swam there... did my last set of workout and then headed to change my attire to go out for my run... When I walked past them, they were chatting at the side of the pool... I simply looked away...
All this while I have really been trying to talk to him... even as a normal friend, he cannot accept it... its super ridiculous... I am tired la... IF he thinks that I still has some feelings for him... I think he can go and knock himself against the wall...Why is it so hard for ex-couples to be friends again?... I told this to dear and he says... its always very hard for the guy to be friends with the ex-girlfriend... haha... but never mind... AS long as I know what I am doing... and care for him just like a platonic friend... if he wanna think otherwise, let him be...



It has been raining very heavily these days... I am just sitting here typing.. it has been super boring,.. I hope it stops raining tomorrow then I can continue my run... have not been running a lot.. ever since the marathon ended, I sort of stopped training... need to get back my fitness and shape.. STOP RAINING!

i finally gotten back to hall... wowowoo... had a really superb weekend...

On friday, I went to meet Trixy for dinner... wore a skirt ( as she had requested!) and a tube top.. but topped it up with a jacket...and we had dinner at Sakae sushi... As i promised.. it was my treat and we chatted from 8 plus to 11 plus then we went back home.. finally passed her the presents i bought for her... haha... but lucky we din take photos... I had a bad hair day..! no no no... next time then take...

met dear on Saturday after my training and inter-hall polo match.. haven seen him or talk to him for almost a week... thought what had went wrong... tot like cold war.. but the funny thing we really had a superb weekend together.. guess absence made the heart grow fonder... really!... we were just too tied up at work and training...
I finally passed him his christmas present... a IPOD NANO... ordered online with special engraving on it ...i engraved his name plus "are you a biathlete?" ahah it sort of seems pretty funny lol...but dear is really happy! and I am really happy too! Gave him something he wanted.. and he gave me a surprise.. he told me that He haven given me my xmas present.. he said the NIKE slippers he gave me the other day is just a gift la... ahah and he is planning to buy a phone for me... wah... super shocked...
but i asked him go choose the phone himself, dun bring me go buy... i wanna test his taste... haha..!

Brother had a performance with Superstar runner-up Chew Hsing Hue... at Bukit Panjang Plaza on Saturday.. went to watch him dance and is superly nice... ahah guess I should take dance soon too!.... Salsa!!!!!!!!

10 years ago.. memory which lasts...

yesterday I cried... right at midnight... at dear's house.. its been a while ever since I cried... It was quite shocking because I cant sleep.. just hugged a cushion and cried... I was reading an article which was illustrating a bus crash at the north-south highway... I recalled what had happened 10 years ago... right on this date... 10th dec 1996...

I just came back from a Track and Field Malacca trip... it was an outing for the athletes... that time i was only primary 5... I came back to Singapore and then suddenly I received a phone call from my track coach that I had to rush back to school immediately... when i reached school, I saw all my teammates... some were tearing, some sobbing, most of them glumpy face.. the teacher brought me to a room... and then broke the news to me... "Sumiko, you must remain calm. We just received news that Yurou and Yutian have died in a bus crash on their way up to Genting with their family. " I remained stunned for that very moment... they are a pair of twins.. my only running partners... only the 3 of us ran the long distance event.. 800m...

Every training, when everybody is resting, 3 of us will still be training because of our long training routine... I can remember so clearly how the 2 of them run on each of my side... they have the similar face.. just that Yurou has a mole on the left side of her lips...

That bus crash killed 13 people... the bus driver was asleep and the bus swirved.. then crashed and went on fire... the whole scenery was chaotic... the fire was big... the news reported that Yurou and Yutian were asleep when the bus was on fire... their Auntie cant pull them out of the bus, their grandpa also perished in the fire...

It was a very bad year for me... I had to be interviewed by a lot of reporters... My face was taken and published... crying. The picture was 1/4 the size of an A4 size paper... It was a really bad phase for me.. had to go through counselling, psychological lessons. I cant eat for days and everytime I ran, I will cry while running. I had to run alone... and just keep feeling them with me... for the whole of the next year... I kept running because I wanna keep their dream alive..."to be a national runner"... though i have not achieved it for them... Their dream keeps me moving till now..

everytime I look back at what happened, I see their faces right in my eyes. Nobody can understand what I went through... its not easy... have been with me for 10 years... and I think this memory will always be with me...

Inter Ministry race

i just came back from a race... hhaha... its a Inter-Ministry Race... 4 by 400m.. yup... we ran in the hot sun! its so hot! 11am plus and we were running... guess this is just not for me man.. I am not accustomed to run a 400m race, neither am I able to run in such a hot weather.. haha... yup... but i guess we all enjoyed the race! our girls team got 1st for the relay... and I must commend on MOE guys team for 4 by 100m... they are super duper fast!... they dropped a baton during the 1st to 2nd runner passing zone, and was last... then they picked up the baton and caught up a lot... in the end, they came in 1st! my gosh... its really a miracle... everyone was shocked to the core! hha... and then after the race... each of us won some little money... 30 bucks... ahaha...

then i went for my saturday swim at clementi.. swim until it rained..and i went for a haircut... super duper ugly.. want to cut short but then cannot... so he helped me to trim my fringe and layered it... its super ugly!!!!! ahhhh..... i wanna cut it short! or else i need some wax to style it!

my brother is the captain of the Hip Hop team called White Riding Hoods in NUS... yup... i am seriously very proud of my very own brother because whatever he puts his heart in to do, he will always excel... he was a part of the national youth waterpolo team, then captain of NUS biathlon team and then now captain of hip hop team... i really think he is great!
